Sylvia Ember is a German contemporary artist whose practice moves between abstraction and symbolism. Her work explores transformation, identity and human potential through recurring mystical and archetypal forms, including dragons, unicorns and other symbolic figures.

Before dedicating her life to art, Sylvia worked as an Art Director in the creative industry. She then embarked on a journey of more than nine years across different countries and cultures, gradually developing a life devoted to painting and artistic expression.

Her works emerge from lived experience and moments of change, uncertainty, decision and movement. Rather than illustrating transformation, they are created while living it. Each painting reflects a moment of becoming, a reminder of the courage it takes to step into a new chapter of personal evolution.

In 2026, Sylvia presented Dare to Become in Singapore, a body of work created during her time in Sumatra, Indonesia. The series reflects a journey through transformation, choice, courage and the process of becoming.

Today, Sylvia lives and works internationally, allowing place, movement and experience to continually shape her artistic perspective. Her paintings are for those who dare to become.
